Caramel “Apple” Grape Bites Recipe
Ingredients
1 pkg caramel bits
3 Tbsps. heavy whipping cream
Green or red grapes (washed and stemmed)
1 c. salted peanuts
Toothpicks
Directions
Step 1: Wash grapes and remove stems. Insert toothpicks into each grape and set aside.
Step 2: Place peanuts in a food processor and coarsely chop. Place chopped nuts in a bowl.
Step 3: In a microwave-safe bowl or double boiler, add the caramel bits and heavy whipping cream to melt, stirring often until smooth. If using the microwave, heat on high for 30 seconds at a time, stirring between each interval. Be careful not to scorch the caramel.
Step 4: Take each grape and dip half way into the caramel. Then transfer to the chopped nuts and gently roll until mostly covered. Place each covered grape onto a sheet of waxed paper.
Step 5: Refrigerate until ready to serve. They’re best served cold so the grapes are still crisp.
